The Ehser Carry Challenge:
A timed distance of 75 feet carrying a medicine ball as fast as you can.
-
The starting "carry" weight is 10 pounds.
-
Each subsequent "carry" weight will increase in 10-pound increments (10-20-30-40, etc)
-
The finishing "carry" weight is 100 pounds.
-
The fastest overall time is the "Ehser Carry Winner!"
AGE GROUP: 21-25
-
AGE GROUP: 26-30
-
AGE GROUP: 31-35
-
AGE GROUP: 36-40
-
AGE GROUP: 41-45
-
AGE GROUP: 46-50
-
AGE GROUP: 51 and up!
Once you pick up the medicine ball you are "in play" and the ball can not touch the ground!
Upon completion of the 75' distance the medicine ball must be placed in the appropriate holding location.
If the medicine ball is dropped or falls to the ground the participant must return to the start position and begin again with same ball/same weight.

About "The Ehser Carry"
The Ehser Carry is a fitness challenge event to benefit the Ehser Kanyaw Family.
A Truly Great Man!
Everyone knows Ehser Kanyaw loves fitness. And, everyone knows and loves Ehser for his great work ethic, his personality, his humbleness and his kindness! It's super easy to just define Esher as:
"A Truly Great Man! "
You might know that Ehser is not having an easy time of at the moment.
Yet, he will not even spend one second complaining or drawing attention to himself.
But, I want you to know that he needs us --- and he needs us right now!
Ehser has been diagnosed with a stage 4 primary liver cancer (HCC) which metastasized to his lung.
He has endured several surgeries already performed on his liver, abdominal wall and lungs. And, he continues with immunotherapy.
We are praying he qualifies for a liver transplant in the near future and are hopeful for live donors.
His treatments and care are performed at Penn Medicine in Philadelphia.
As you can imagine his expenses are simply overwhelming. It literally takes thousands of dollars for each trip he needs to make.
"Join me as we help our fellow firefighter and brother by participating in The Ehser Carry."
You Probably Know Someone....
Most of you probably know someone who has struggled with cancer.
But, unless you have experienced it, personally, it's impossible to know the mental, physical and emotional struggle it puts on a person -- as well as his or her entire family.
Easing the Stress
Beyond the mental, physical and emotional issues is the financial stress this situation inflicts on an entire family.
A patient incurs traveling expenses including lodging, food, gas, time away from work. Add to that the every day expense of simply trying to keep your family running and financially stable during the treatment process.
Every trip for treatment can come to thousands in out of pocket expenses. and that is not an overestimated number. Thousands.
